Jillian is a professional dog trainer who learned balanced training methods through real necessity—not theory. When she adopted Echo, a 9-week-old Belgian Malinois showing fear aggression, reactivity, and resource guarding, she quickly discovered that positive-only methods weren't sufficient for serious behavioral issues.

That experience became the foundation—but not the limit—of her training career. Working through Echo's challenges, and later rescuing a second Malinois (Fox) with completely different behavioral needs, gave Jillian a deep understanding of what it actually takes to transform a reactive, unstable dog into a calm, reliable companion. Since then, she has applied and refined those methods working with a wide range of client dogs across varying breeds, temperaments, and behavioral challenges—with one consistent goal: stability.

Why She Started Timberline K9

After experiencing firsthand how little effective help was available for owners of reactive and aggressive dogs, Jillian pursued certifications and guidance from experienced balanced trainers (who have now become more than just mentors) to develop methods that actually produce lasting results. She opened Timberline K9 to give other dog owners access to the kind of practical, results-focused training she wished had been available to her—and has since helped families transform chaotic, unpredictable dogs into stable, confident companions.
